Examination

Examination plays a paramount role in the student’s life. It probes the inbuilt caliber of the child along with mellowing inner audacity. Keeping in mind the all round augmentation of a student’s personality CBSE has reformed the examination system which now not only tests the knowledge, but also evaluates a student for his behavior, emotional stability and social ethics, and morals values. As per CBSE guidelines 2017-18 the assessment structure and examination for classes I to VIII have been prepared in view of the provisions of RTE- Act 2009 and comprises of two terms i.e. Term – 1 and 2 as explained below, and there will be cycle test for Pre- Primary classes.

Written exam for 80 marks with syllabus coverage as below:
Class VI: 10% of 1ST term covering significant topics+ entire syllabus of 2nd term.
Class VII: 20% of 1ST term covering significant topics+ entire syllabus of 2nd term.
Class VIII: 30% of 1ST term covering significant topics+ entire syllabus of 2nd term.



Remolded assessment structure effective from the Academic Year 2017-18 for Class IX & X

Total 100 Marks (Syllabus for assessment will be only class- IX & X)
Subjects 80 Marks (Board Examination) Students has to secure 33% marks out of 80 marks in each subject. 20 Marks (Board Examination) Students have to secure 33% marks out of overall 20 marks earmarked in each subject.

Board will conduct Class- X Examination for 80 Marks in each subject covering 100% syllabus of the subject of class -X only.
Marks and Grades both will be awarded for individual subjects.
9 Points grading will be same as followed by the Board n class XII.
Periodic written Test restrict to three in each subject in an Academic Year.
Average of the best two tests to be taken for final marks submission

6th Additional subject Scheme of studies for 6th additional subject is detailed in Annexure- I Note :- In case students opts a language as 6th additional subjects the modalities defined for languages 1 And 2 shall be followed.

If any student in any one of the three elective subjects (i.e, Science, Mathematics and Social Science) then it will be replaced by the Vocational subject (offered as a 6 additional subject) and result of class X Board Examinations will be computed accordingly . However if candidate desire to reappear in the failed subject, he/she may appear with the compartment examination. Assessment of theory/practical paper in external subject shall be in numerical scores. The qualifying marks in each subject of external examination shall be 33%. However , in a subject involving practical work, a candidate must obtain 33% marks in the practical separately in addition to 33% marks in aggregate, in order to qualify in that subject.

  • Class XI examination shall be conducted by the school themselves.
  • The Board will conducted the external examination at the end of class XII
  • Social Science: Map or the project work may be undertaken as suggested by the NCERT Syllabus and Text Book and CBSE time to time.
